Art Instruction at VBSAG
Master Artist-in-Residence and Instructor 'Simone' teaches in the 'French Atelier' style.
Atelier is a "workshop" or "studio" where students, under the guidance of a professional artist, can work together in experiencing the skills and discovery of creating art.
Art history and theory are taught with an emphasis on putting brush to canvas starting in the first class. Each month different artists are studied ranging from the 'Masters' to more contemporary artists. Students study their styles to develop an eye for light, textures, composition, color and technique. Students may choose to work in acrylics or oils.
March 2017 - two new Staff Instructors join the VBSAG Team - Eric Lindbergh and Rowena Finn so stay tune as we finalize the schedules of these extremely talented Artists.
